Welcome to the PBL Directory
The PBL Directory is an open-access, searchable database of the ways in which PBL is being used by practitioners around the world.
It currently contains details of 118 courses at 103 institutions across 35 countries.
We would like to invite more users of Problem-Based Learning to submit their details via the questionnaire. Please submit an entry if you have time. It will really help this to become a valuable resource.
The Directory is maintained by Dr Gaynor Sadlo at the University of Brighton.
It is still possible to search the Older PBL Directory which contains details of 143 courses at 126 institutions across 26 countries.
HEA Evaluation Project
The Higher Education Academy
PBL Special Interest Group (SIG) has been working on a Toolkit which aims to evaluate PBL courses across the UK and establish a typology of this form of learning. A draft toolkit of research tools has been created which will be available online for anyone wishing to evaluate their own PBL programme and submit the data to the larger-scale project.
